Zeke Berman

A New York native, Zeke Berman mastered his skills in sculpture and photography at the Philadelphia College of Art and graduated in 1973. Since this time he has utilized found objects and ordinary materials such as water paper, clay and gelatin to construct delicate, formal arrangements that mirror 17th-century Dutch still-life painting. His recent diptych and triptych constructions emphasize a humorous poetry that reveals itself through the manipulation of the everyday object and its ultimate documentation.

Zeke Berman's photographs have been viewed in major museums worldwide and collected by the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Art Institute of Chicago and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
